Youth Parliament

The UK Youth Parliament enables young people to use their energy and passion to change the world for the better.

Members of Youth Parliament are elected every two years. There are currently hundreds of MYPs across the United Kingdom.

MYPs meet with MPs and local councillors, organise events, run campaigns, deliver speeches, hold debates, and ensure the views of young people are listened to by decision makers.

A Voice for Gloucestershire

There are three seats for MYPs in Gloucestershire. I am standing for Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

My Manifesto

As your Member of Youth Parliament for Cheltenham and Tewkesbury, I will represent your interests, care about your concerns, and bring you opportunities through achievable and meaningful change.

I will campaign to democratise access to free, exciting and empowering digital tech facilities, in public spaces like libraries, for gamers, musicians, and creators.

Elected as a School Councillor, Head of Media, and Editor of my school magazine, I am experienced in persuasively presenting and convincingly communicating important ideas.

I will apply this in representing all the wonderful young people of Gloucestershire. Vote for me now, and your voice will be heard.

Make Your Mark

This national consultation gives people aged 11-18 the opportunity to say which issue they feel is most important to them.

The options are:

  • Climate Change and the Environment
  • Crime and Safety
  • Culture, Media, Sport
  • Education and Learning
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • International Relations
  • Jobs, the Economy and Benefits
  • Rights, Equalities and Democracy
  • Transport
  • Youth Work and Young People's Services

I will campaign locally for policies based on the top priorities chosen.
